Thanks for the wallpaper. I

Thanks for the wallpaper. I just bought the same monitor and those wallpapers really take advantage of the high resolution. Keep up the good work.

Why did you start putting

Why did you start putting the watermark in the centre? This doesn't make it very usable as a wallpaper.

Thanks for the feedback. The

Thanks for the feedback. The reason its in the center is that the images are now so large, that a watermark in the corner can be cropped away and the pictures would still be usable for printing. If you have an idea how I can protect the images and make them available for free without the unsightly watermark in the middle I'd be glad to hear it.
When I have time, I will increase the opacity of the watermark some more (make it much less visible).

Widescreen Wallpapers

I can only say SIMPLY STUNNING. FANTABULAFIC. Thanks buddy.

I agree. Great pic's, very

I agree. Great pic's, very well done, exposure is perfect, but the watermark killed them for me...

Hm

Yeah o.k. Point taken. I will turn down the watermarks. I will re-do the pictures and make the watermark less visible.

I would have to say that

I would have to say that these pictures are amazing along with it's clarity. But take the water mark off the picture. It makes it a worst back ground.

Yes, I promise guys. Here is

Yes, I promise guys. Here is why its taking so long: AT&T has messed up my internet connection, while I am in the process of moving the site to a stronger server. I was in the process of optimizing the new server for speedy delivery and a large amount of simultaneous connections when I completely lost internet for the entire week. Basically the free download and especially the ultra high res Machu Picchu picture are boggling down my server.

As soon as I have all technical issues resolved, I will also take care of the watermark. It won't be completely gone, but it will be hardly noticeable. Please bear with me and check back in a week or two. Then this should be resolved.

I am paying quite a sum of money for this new server (basically to support free downloads). Until I purchased this server, I have been slow to update the wallpapers, since I couldn't push any more bandwidth from my current server.

center watermark

why did u put watermark in the centre? your wallpaper are beautifull,But i cant put it as background, cuz the fact that its write something in the center make it ugly...so your paper is the worst of the web with the watermark in the centre

Fabullous photos!

As far as I am concerned I really appreciate your work on the server. I love the photos you put here. I admit, the watermark makes them slightly less attractive. But I don't care. I was looking 4 high-resolution photos and you fulfilled my "dream" :) BIG THX!!!!!!!!!

Geez

Guys, don't be so impatient. I said I will get to it. Keeping the site up and running and adding new photos is a bit more important at the moment but I will get to it.

Nice pictures and good

Nice pictures and good photgraphys shoots u have.
its superrrr

Banner

Beautiful pictures, but do you really have to put the banner right smack bang in the middle of the wallpaper?

Nope

Simon, of course I don't have to but I get about 1-2GB of wallpapers downloaded every day, so I figured why not (The site runs on a VPS right now for performance reasons).
I don't do that anywhere else on the site (If you even cared to explore beyond the free wallpapers ;-) ).
Andre

Question

Is it possible you could move the watermark to the bottom? having it in the middle kind of ruins the beauty of your photos :(

Email me

Send me an email through the contact form and let me know which one you want. I will send you one that has the watermark less visible.
I know I promised to upload those, but I am still catching up on articles and photos.
Since about 1 out of 100,000 visitors (no lie) votes for this site on the bloggers choice, I see no reason to hurry things.

Simply stunning pictures

I know a good picture when I see it, and I even subscribed to the blog awards to give you my vote since you deserve it man, excellent photos! Keep up the good work!

daghang salamat sa inyong

daghang salamat sa inyong mga wall papers. nindot kaayo sila. (Thank you very much with your wall papers. They are very nice

Stunning photos

I'm glad everyone has read all the comments /sarcasm. They are beautiful and I can't wait for the un-watermarked version! Finding a quality 1440x900 wallpaper is tough.

Watermark

If DaVinci signed his name right on Mona Lisa's nose, do you think it might have distracted the viewer from the art?

re: watermark in center

You asked how you can protect your work without putting a watermark in the center, since they are high-res enough to crop and still be printable.

As a veteran photographer myself, the answer is "you don't protect your work". Not in an unhealthy paranoid way like that at least. If people really like your work, they'll buy it. If they want to print it without paying for it, they will do so regardless. Accept it, quit worrying about it, and save yourself alot of worry. As painful and unintuitive as it is, give up the idea that you "own" your work. Do it for the fun of it and surprise, you'll sell it.

With that said, you do need to make a "due diligence" effort to nominally "protect" your work, in case for some reason in the future you need to sue someone over it. If you make no effort, you'll have no case. A small copyright notice in the corner is sufficient.

Wonderful!

Was looking for a widescreen wallpaper and damn! Those are great! Thanks! =D

nice wallpapers - lose the ugly text in the middle!

The text right there in the middle of these beautiful pictures ruins it... quite sad really, some very nice photos...

WALL PAPER

JOB WELL DONE...! KEEP THE WATER MARK IS THE ONLY THING WELL KNOW THE RIGHTS OF THIS PICTURES . . . ! ! ! PLEASE KEEP UP.

Nice 2 c the pictures

Nothing can stop the Nature

Thanks for the fantastic

Thanks for the fantastic pictures!! I see your pictures every day on my computers at home and at work, I reccomend your site to all my friends and family. I love the free wall paper. And PEOPLE, duh, of course he has to have a big unsightly watermark in the middle of the pictures! They're free! Otherwise you could print them up and slap a frame around them. I understand about the watermark and I'm just really grateful for these amazing free wallpapers! A little tip to anyone, if you save the pictures on your computer in one file together you can go to your computer's control panel, select themes, go to screen savers, and select your pictures to run a screen saver with these beautiful photos. Thanks again Andre, your site is wonderful and keep up the great photography!
