Wallpaper Help Page

Use this short guide to determine your screen resolution (Windows only, we assume Macintosh, Linux, Unix users as well as users of other operating systems know how to find their screen resolution and set up a background image).

Desktop Property Settings

Right click on your desktop. Select Properties. Go to the Settings Tab. You should see a window similar to the window on the left. The screen resolution is marked red.

In order to find the aspect ratio of your display, simply divide the two resoluion numbers (in the example to the right it means 1280/768= 1.667, this is the same as a 15:9 aspect ratio, another common widescreen aspect ratio is 16:10).
If your screen resolution is not supported by our wallpaper selection, simply download the closest resolution with the right aspect ratio and select to stretch the image when selecting the Desktop background (see below).
If you have a 4:3 display, you should not download the widescreen wallpapers but the normal sized wallpapers.

Setting your wallpaper

Desktop Wallpaper settings

Download the wallpaper of your choice from our selection. Right click on your desktop. Select Properties. Go to the Desktop Tab. Hit the Browse button and navigate to the image downloaded in the previous step. For Position select Stretch.

If you own a widescreen display the preview image will look distorted just as in this example, since the preview seems to be a fixed 4:3 aspect ratio. There is no need to be concerned, as the image will look right on your widescreen display. Hit the OK button to apply your new desktop background image.
