Part 1 / Part 2

So there it is. It looks so cool in its metal shell that I really want to get rid of the rest of the plastic.
Originally I had planned to keep the display in its plastic and that would have worked with most laptops but not Toshiba. In order to remove the display from the rest of the laptop I had to pop the Display plastic cover open anyways.

Finally removed from its cover with the power supply hanging out. I wonder why laptop manufacturers put something this cool in an unattractive plastic cover.
Now I put the rest of the laptop (the two half's) back together and hooked the display up again.
Lets boot up and see if it works.

Yippie, the laptop plays my Maui beach movie. Everything seems to be working.
I reattached the keyboard and went off to Home Depot to get Mounting Tape (you know, the thick soft tape that is sticky on both sides).
I used the mounting tape to "glue" the display to the back of the rest of the laptop.
You can see the final product in the last part of this project.
