It might be a bit hard to notice, but the nice lady is framed by two trash cans left and right (one on my side of the sidewalk and one on hers). I liked the lighting, so I didn't try to boost the shadows.
I really like the subtle nature (you have to look really close to notice the trash cans).
This image really speaks to me. It is such a strong contrast (beauty - trash , light - shadow).
Interestingly this image was shot in stealth mode. Usually i photograph my subjects up close and personal, but this one was taken from across the street in silence with the Canon S3 IS.
