Convict Lake is a paradise for fishers. It was hard to even find a parking spot, since all were taken by sports fishermen. The lake sits in a glacial basin surrounded by the peaks of the Sierras.
The lake gets it's name from a prison break with a manhunt that culminated in an old west shoot out.
