Thanks for your feedback. I am deliberately staying away from publishing photos of people to avoid legal trouble, or I would have to ask for a written consent from every single individual to be covered.

The pictures are great. Anonymous, your a dope, why would you want a bunch of granola eating, birkenstock wearing hippies in these awesome photos. I would like to see a picture of you, so I can see what a true California dope looks like.

Haha, funny ZON. Thanks for

Haha, funny ZON. Thanks for standing up for me. It just proofs that we all have different taste and that it is impossible to cater to everyones tastes.
Sometimes, having a person in a picture really can enhance the picture, but there are many times when it cannot. In the example below, the viewer is drawn into the picture by the virtual line of sight of the man standing on the top of Colca Canyon. One follows his sight into the Canyon.

The picture was copied from my
Peru Galleries.
Generally I use people to create a sense of scale or to create a line of sight.
I primarily photograph nature and not portraits and I also don't document the life of people but the beauty of nature.
I can see both of you have valid points.
I have taken a few portrait shots in Peru and even some photos of the crowds in Machu Picchu.

I think they are fantastic

I think they are fantastic mate, really capture the essence of California, i lived there for a while and if you don't take the time to notice the natural and obviously man-made structures that are absolutely phenomenal then it can easily be overlooked. Just wanted to say that these pictures are a real motivation for me as I am an amateur photographer at the moment trying to improve, and seeing great work like yours is really good to help for my ideas, thanks.

Jamie, UK.

I love your photos
